I managed to capture this image of children naturally engrossed in trying to catch crabs, again it was the light against dark that was appealing.

I was greatly attracted to this image because of the pure light on the boats and the powerful reflections in the water, this was a demonstration piece for Scarborough Art Society
This painting resulted in a visit the Middleham racing stables in the Yorkshire Dales, some of the horses posed very nicely, others were not quite as accommodating!

On the North Yorkshire coast, I am greatly attracted to sunrises and sunsets, I just loved the vivid colours, which were echoed in the sea, making a very vibrant painting.
